About Detachment #332

Being a Marine is what it's all about. John A. Lejeune, who founded the Marine Corps League in 1923, put this above all else. Although he was Commandant of the Marine Corps, a decorated hero of the First World War, and the former commanding General of the victorious Second Army Division, he said his first claim to fame was "I am a Marine!" In 1937 the U.S. Congress felt that the purposes of the Marine Corps League were so valid they granted it a federal charter.

We have a business meeting once a month on the first Wednesday of the month at 1930 hrs. (7:30 p.m. for those of us that has forgotten military time).  We meet at the VFW Post 392. (2408 Bowland Pkwy, Virginia Beach, VA 23454.)

We also participate in local community events in our area, to recruit other Marines and fundraise so we can help veterans and their families.

We are a family-friendly organization. We have family events throughout the year.

Incorporated by an act of Congress in 1937, the Marine Corps League perpetuates the traditions of all Marines who proudly wear or who have worn the Eagle, Globe, and Anchor of the United States Marine Corps.
